The files I bring in come in fine, no excessive nodes or spline interpretion (like it divides a curve into 1000's of small lines) I feel most of what I see advertised on their program I allready have capabilities of with Corel Draw. You will be able to see on your screen that the text looks filled black. Then go to View, make sure "show fill" has a check by it. You want your text to be filled in black. Left clicking on a color changes the fill.
Go down and left click on the black color. If these aren't selected and/or if anymore is selected it can cause it to mess up like what you are describing. On the preferences tab, there should be 3 things selected, Plate Area, Bitmaps and Print as shown on screen. The laser will default to vector type engraving/cutting with any line that is hairline or thinner. In engravelab, fill the text with black and set it to have NO outline

Just use Corel for the mercury, there is almost no advantage (apart from a few functions) to use engrave lab, the drivers were written for Corel. So, how do I create the text in Engrave Lab and get it to engrave instead of vector cut? Thanks! When using Engrave Lab to create the text, the edges are perfect, but I'm only getting a vector cut and not an egraving. If I save text from PhotoShop and import it to Engrave Lab I'm able to get the text to engraved, but the edges are pixilated. I'm a newbie and I'm trying to engrave text into a variety of materials using a Mercury 25W and Engrave Lab.
